Is blogging about crafting something too simple?

So…this is my first blog post ever. Or well, I might have made a try before when it was an assignment to create a blog and post the tasks we did in that class but not really much more than that.

I don’t really know what sort of things that would attract people to read and look at what I do, but I figure that if I post what I like, then surely there should (?) at least be one more person out there in the world that like the same thing, and might enjoy it. And if I can do that, reach out to just one other human being beside myself – then I guess that is a good goal to have reached.

What will be the main thing on the blog you might wonder? Or wonder, I suppose the theme of the blog is pretty much straight forward given the name I gave it; Decors & Crafts. But I will describe it a bit more than that. I have always loved to craft ever since I was little. Most bits of scrap material was collected and I would dare say perhaps even hoarded. I knew the crafters motto even then, “Never throw anything away – you never know if you might need it!” Since 2001 I have used the alias ‘Decors’ for the modelhorses, and when I found DeviantArt in 2009 I used it there as well. Decors are items that are put on display, something you show others and well, crafts are something you make.

My plan is, as I mention, to make many different things that in one way or the other has to do with crafting. But it will also be about books about crafting that I feel are so good that I want to tell others about. Many of them have a title in Swedish, but if there is a english title I will let that be known too.

On some of the pages I will tell you a bit more about certain parts of my crafting interest, such as croheting, the modelhorses, the books and the clayrats.

This will probably do as a first post on the blog. There are many things that Im still learning so have patience 😉
